  • Chivalry lives I have always been a fan of fantasy and enjoyed reading Roland's Path. The author's passion for the world he is building shines through every page. He reminded why I like this genre. The only drawback was that the novel could have used a good edit. While I would knock off a couple tenths of a point for that, I have no reservation in rounding up and look forward to RJ's next book.

  • Wild West lawman meets the Witcher A deeply imaginative world, Roland’s Path feels like a young Clint Eastwood tale of a noble youth swept up in simple case of tracking down criminals across a real terrain where fantasy creatures replace the dangers of cougars and bobcats. It’s part adventure and part gauntlet of adulthood that pits Roland against his own youthful limitations as he is force to make the difficult choices and actions that would make him the man, and knight, he aspires to be.

  • Fantastic book by a first time author This is a really good book. I love the fantasy genre and this book is just fantastic. I highly recommend giving it a try. Roland is a character that I think most people will become attached to. You really enjoy getting to see him mature and learn what being a warrior truly means.

A Brief History of Stratvs

Stratvs is an original, sword & sorcery fantasy universe encompassing some mountains inhabited by dwarves and others by drow and many creatures fond of human flesh.  Her plains are home to farms and ranches as well as some distant grasslands held by tribal centaurs.  The tundra of Janis is home to the hearty Slandik, a people comprising an unusual mix of nobility and barbarism.

Slandik

Slandik are light-skinned people who live in clustered villages scattered across the tundra of southern Janis. They are a people hardened by the severe cold and deadly animals of their lands. Suspicious of all non-Slandik, their trade with outsiders is limited to only those who’ve proven themselves worthy of Slandik friendship.

Kellmarshee

Kellmarshee is a deeply tanned, wild horsemen tribe that inhabits the deserts of western Tarborat. They maintain a loose alliance with Ingshburn due to their enmity toward Lethanor and the fact that Ingshburn pays them handsomely. They comprise an unorganized light cavalry known for their speed and ferocity on the battlefield and the unique, curved blades they carry.

Tarborat

Tarborat is the Kingdom of the northern continent of Stratvs, ruled by Ingshburn Tarborat is embroiled in a centuries-long war with Lethanor as foreseen by fate. The brother Kingdom of Lethanor, Ozur, fell as a result of the war with Tarborat.
